Powerpack In Argentina
Many of you will know that I have been to Argentina for the last 3 years and have found it an amazingly inspirational place. I’m not going this year, but Heather and a small team are going in November. The church in Mar De Plata is holding a Powerpack Residential Weekend for what could be 300 children. The programme runs all weekend with the UK powerpack team training the Spanish leaders. We are also launching our new Spanish CD Alabemos al Rey (Worship The King)
Space Adventure Holiday Club 2011
Space Adventure Holiday Club was a great success this year. With two weeks of programme and over 50 leaders it was superb to work together as a local church to show God’s love to our local community. For the first time we ran our Children’s Ministry Experience See the video:
Summer Camps 2012
Another Faith Camp & Grapevine are over and yet again God has been great. We have countless testimonies and stories of lives changed over the year and during the weeks events.
Emily said: “I went to Grapevine this year. Thanks for making Powerpack
so amazing! I’m grateful to you all for making it so fab! God bless you”
See the Faith Camp Review
Here are a handful of a list of over 100 testimonies.
In Powerpack God healed my eyes. Using the Kingdom Crest from last year God helped me to be brave and tell everyone about him.
I became a Christian in Powerpack.
I went through the fire tunnel and felt like I had fire in my hands.
At listen and go, God gave me a picture of a man with glasses and trainers. Also that he was on unit 12, so we went to unit 12 and we found him and prayed for him.I had a stye in my eye and so I got prayed for and now I’m healed.
I’ve had asthma since I was born, I got prayed for in powerpack and now I’m healed.

Please pray for:
The new Children’s Ministry Experience team with us over the two weeks in Oxford (7th-19th August).
An openness to His Spirit to help the children encounter God powerfully and significantly.
Good preparation, that clearly follows God’s lead.
The after-effects of these events as children settle back into homes, school and life, that they will impact their world, grow in faith and build on the events of the summer.
Prayer Spaces
During June I was asked to lead some of the days of prayer space in an Oxfordshire primary school. Catherine Clayton who runs Prayer Spaces locally , had two schools wanting space.
For those who don’t know about prayer spaces, a school allocates a room/space for the team to set up prayer zones. Then class by class kids arrive to spend time in the space reflecting, praying and responding to creative stimuli in the room. Over break times the space is often available for kids to drop in.
There is something incredibly powerful about groups of kids praying fro their school, friends, family, community in the school day. It’s great to hear their reflections on who God is and how they see him as relevant.
You can hear more about it here: Prayer Space In Schools - Lots of great pictures too!
Northway Golden anniversary
It’s been 50 years of involvement in the community for Northway Church. To celebrate we organised a ‘Golden Anniversary’ celebration for the whole community.
We visited as many houses on the estate as possible asking for memorabilia for our Living memories Exhibition and any artwork by local artists. We then created an exhibition for the public to visit during Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday we held a church service in the car park, provided a free BBQ and Pizza for all during lunch time. This was with a free bouncy castle, balloon modelling and Funday activities. A local kids work group ran an ‘old school sports day’ during the afternoon. We then finished the day with a talent show/concert by local performers, including two of the local primary schools.
It was a great day and the work of many people, but with well over 300 people attending it was a great sunny afternoon. You can read about it in the paper: Oxford Mail Article This Is Oxfordshire

Prayer Points
- For church weekends coming up Interserve Conference and Love Oxford in May. In Oxford I am leading an all-age section at the start and leading 3 hours of centre games at the Funday on Saturday
- For Kath as she enjoys her next term. Lots of things appear to becoming easier. She is presently looking for jobs in case her present school is unable to appoint staff for September.
- For summer events preparation—getting fresh ideas and the right balance of activities.
Argentina
During the last few weeks we have been producing some artwork for the new Spanish Powerpack album Alabemos al Rey (Worship The King) and producing some training videos—it’s quite hard work making videos in little chalets and in a dark dingy nightclub building (that’s our venue Crazy Horse at Spring Harvest) – a very amateur production but with a first class interpreter Claudio—amazing man! It’s all very exciting with pastors from Buenos Aires visiting the UK in June and September, Powerpack’s camp in November and events in la Plata and Quilmes. Please pray for Claudio in Peterborough and the team in Argentina they are doing a great job.
Explore Easter
This went really well. The schools I worked in thought the activities and presentation was very good and the kids really enjoyed everything: washing each other’s feet; knocking in nails; and wrapping friends in bandages and popping them in a tomb. I am sure the hands-on experience meant children remembered the story and hopefully it’s truths about God’s love well. I know having taught Kath’s class that when they recounted the story lots of the practical elements helped them connect the significant moments of the story.
